Lakeway Christian Schools (LCS) Board of Directors governs the policies of the school according to the bylaws. The LCS Board of Directors oversees the Executive Director (ED). The Superintendent reports to the ED according to all things related to the day to day operations of the schools. The principals manage their respective school and work collaboratively with various director level positions. The school shall maintain an up-to-date organizational chart that accurately reflects the structure of administrative, instructional, and support staff positions. This chart ensures that all employees understand their roles within the school, their supervisory relationships, and the chain of command.

    Organizational Structure
    • The organizational chart outlines the hierarchy of authority from the Board of Directors through the Executive Director, administrators, faculty, and staff.
    • Each position is placed within the structure according to its function and reporting relationship.
    • The structure is designed to promote collaboration, clear communication, and accountability across all levels of the organization.
    Responsibilities
    • The Executive Director is responsible for maintaining and updating the organizational chart annually or as organizational changes occur.
    • Department heads and supervisors are responsible for communicating structural or staffing changes within their areas that may affect the chart.
    • All employees are responsible for understanding their position within the structure and adhering to established lines of supervision and communication.
    Updates and Revisions
    • The organizational chart shall be reviewed at least annually, typically before the start of each school year.
    • Updates may occur as a result of staffing changes, new positions, reassignments, or restructuring.
    • The updated chart shall be approved by the Executive Director and shared with the Board of Directors.
    Accessibility
    • The current organizational chart shall be available to all employees through the internal employee portal.
    • New employees will be introduced to the organizational structure during orientation.
    Chain of Command
    • Employees shall follow the established chain of command when addressing concerns, submitting requests, or resolving issues.
    • Bypassing the chain of command is discouraged except in cases involving legal or ethical violations, where established reporting procedures (such as grievance) shall be followed.
    Confidentiality and Professionalism
    • The organizational chart is a professional reference tool and should be used respectfully to guide communication and decision-making.
    • Employees should refrain from using the chart to compare roles or challenge authority outside of established review processes.
