BOARD TERMS

Members of the Board shall serve one (1) term consisting of three (3) years and may be reelected for an additional, consecutive term for a total of six years. After serving a maximum of six consecutive years, members may be nominated to serve on the Board only after spending a minimum of one year off the Board. Exceptions may be allowed for special circumstances. For purposes of this Manual, a “Term Year” is August 1 through July 31.

Except for the Board Chair, officers of the Board shall be nominated and elected by

the Board and shall serve for one year. Generally, the nomination of Board officers for the next Term Year shall occur no later than the last Board meeting of each Term Year, and the election of Board officers shall occur on the first meeting of each Term Year.

The Board may amend the Board Manual by a two-thirds majority vote of the Board at any regular or specially called Board Meeting, provided that a written and announced notice of such proposed amendment is given to the Board at least 1 week in advance of the amendment’s consideration.
