5.101 Admissions

Choosing the best school for a child is an important decision. It requires a great deal of prayer and consideration and it is something we take very seriously at Lakeway Christian Schools. All families interested in enrolling their student(s) at Cornerstone / Lakeway / Tri-cities go through the same admissions process. This process starts with an inquiry and potential tour of campus. During this time, someone from our admissions staff may bring the prospective families through the halls and pop into some of our classrooms. Please always be prepared to introduce yourself and welcome our special guests. That could be just the impression they need to make their educational decision. Teachers are not required to stop class for any type of presentation, but when appropriate, our admissions team may introduce you and ask some questions that could help the family’s decision process. All applications must be submitted online.
    • The following documents are required for completion of the admission application process:

Other documents may also be required pending review of a prospective student's admission application.

    • Parents must understand the school’s commitment to parental responsibility for their child’s education and discipline.  Lakeway Christian Schools exists to assist parents in the task of educating their children, not to take over responsibility for the education of their children.  Parents must be actively engaged in the education and discipline of their children.

    • Parents must be committed to fully cooperating with the policies of Lakeway Christian Schools
Cornerstone Christian Academy, Lakeway Christian Academy and Tri-Cities Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national origin, or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship programs, financial assistance and loan programs, athletic programs, and other school administered programs and activities.

Once an application is submitted, it is reviewed to see if the student is a good fit for LCS. The next steps include appointments for an admissions assessment and new family interview. The Head of Schools, Principal, Director of Student Services, Equip Program Director, and Admissions team are all involved in making an informed admissions decision prior to enrollment. Once enrolled, administration is notified for planning purposes and the family begins receiving school-wide communication to prepare for the student’s first day.
