Policy Statement:
Lakeway Christian Schools (LCS) recognizes the value of its facilities as community assets and seeks to foster positive relationships with the local community by making school facilities available for community use when such use is consistent with the school's mission and goals. This policy outlines the principles governing the community use of LCS facilities.

Lakeway Christian Schools (LCS) commits to optimal use of its facilities while aligning with its values, supporting both the internal and external community, and ensuring prudent stewardship of its assets.
Alignment with Core Values and Mission:
All utilization of facilities, by internal and external entities, should resonate and align with LCS’s values and mission.
Facility Rental to External Parties:
The policy will undergo periodic review to evaluate its effectiveness and highlight areas for improvement.
Note: LCS aims to strike a balance in facility utilization, ensuring its spaces serve the community and internal bodies, while staying true to its values, judiciously managing resources, and supporting internal teams and activities.

Facility Rental to External Parties:
- Approval and Compliance: Facility usage is subject to a detailed approval workflow that includes alignment with LCS values, subjective approval, calendar approval, and financial quotation. Usage should comply with all stipulations outlined in the facility use agreement.
- Financial Management: 100% of the revenue derived from external facility rentals is channeled into the LCS system-wide facility rental budget, supporting the maintenance and enhancement of LCS facilities.
- Upfront Payment and Insurance: Renters are required to make payment upfront and adhere to specified insurance requirements prior to utilizing the facilities.
- Event Hosting: LCS clubs or teams may utilize the facilities for fundraisers and events.
- Revenue Management: Revenue generated from such events will observe a 65/35 split, with the club or team retaining 65% and the remaining 35% directed to the system-wide facility rental budget.
- Annual Benefit: Head coaches within LCS are permitted one complimentary facility rental annually for their personal benefit.
- Event Management: The coach bears full responsibility for the event’s management, registration, and all other relevant aspects.
- Value Safeguarding: Ensures facility usage aligns with LCS’s ethos.
- Resource Management: Structured management and allocation of resources and revenues from facility usage.
- Internal Entity Support: Enabling LCS entities to utilize facilities for development and fundraising, while also contributing to facility improvement.
- Communication: Transparent dissemination of policy details to all relevant stakeholders.
- Monitoring: Routine assessments of facility usage to ensure compliance.
- Financial Oversight: Diligent management and allocation of funds related to facility usage.
