    COMMUNICATIONS

    At Lakeway Christian Schools, we have four goals in how we communicate both internally and externally.
    1. Communicate in a way that is professional, consistent, positive
    2. Connect with our audience (parents / students / prospective families / community)
    3. Promote our schools (drive enrollment / enhance reputation within the community)
    4. Establish a positive school culture (inside and out / school spirit / Royal Experience)
    Our faculty and staff play a vital role in making that communication possible in public (Lakeway community, anyone not already associated with LCS, potential sponsors, prospective families), private (our students, families, faculty and staff, administration) and procedural (admissions process, branding, calendar, etc.).

    When it comes to internal communication, please keep the following guidelines in mind:
    • Communicating with your class/team/department – your responsibility, professional, consistent, positive, through RenWeb with an abbreviated signature
    • Communicating to a range of constituents (K-2, 3-5, LCA, CA, Athletics, Arts, etc.) – work through the communications department so that we can collaborate on a graphic, social media, website, email, etc.

    In order to follow the above, it may take some extra time and therefore some extra planning on your part. Communications may be sent on behalf of your department when appropriate, but the collaborative effort is still extremely important to keep our brand consistent. Our goal will always be to communicate internally before anything is sent out externally.

    In an organization like LCS, private communications quickly become public communications and that is why we are committed to working together to keep our communication efficient and effective.

    PARENT COMMUNICATIONS
    A teacher's work will be greatly enhanced through the active involvement of parents. Strive to keep them informed in a timely manner on the progress or potential problem areas involving course materials, behavior or response to personal circumstances through verbal, written, or email communication. Refer to school principal for specific details.
