In all areas of instruction, proper respect and consideration of God’s character will be given. Specifically, class songs, skits, stories, and discussion that include references to the name and attributes of the Lord must be consistent with biblical principles.

Things to avoid include (but are not limited to the examples listed below) the following:

• Silly or trite references to Jesus Christ and His work on the cross
• Imply, directly or indirectly, that all the students are Christians
• Mock or trivialize angelic powers, whether demonic or heavenly
• Emphasis on good feelings or works rather than on humility, grace, and obedience to God's Word

For the sake of students’ spiritual formation and the faithful work of Lakeway Christian Schools, all instruction should reflect joyful reverence, sound biblical understanding, and a Christ-honoring tone. LCS values teaching that encourages students toward a deeper, respectful knowledge of the Lord and His truth.
