Hiring and Recruitment
- All open positions will be posted publicly and/or internally for a reasonable period to attract qualified candidates.
- Applications will be reviewed based on qualifications, experience, and alignment with the school’s mission.
- Final hiring decisions are subject to approval by the Superintendent of Schools
- Each position shall have a written job description outlining duties, qualifications, reporting relationships, and performance expectations.
- Job descriptions must be reviewed annually and updated as needed.
- All new employees will undergo an orientation program covering school policies, child safety, mandatory reporting laws, and ethical conduct.
- Ongoing professional development will be encouraged and may be required for certain roles.
Employees are expected to:
- Uphold the values, mission, and standards of the school.
- Maintain professional boundaries with students, families, and colleagues.
- Comply with all applicable laws and school policies.
- Regular performance reviews will be conducted to provide feedback, identify development needs, and support professional growth.
- Unsatisfactory performance may result in disciplinary action, including termination, in accordance with due process procedures.
- Employees may be full-time, part-time, temporary, or contract-based.
- Employment is “at-will” unless otherwise specified by a written contract approved by the Board.
- Employees have the right to raise concerns or complaints regarding employment practices without fear of retaliation.
- A defined grievance process will be provided and must be followed in good faith.
