3.102 Lesson Plans

Teacher professionalism demands adequate before-class preparation. Lesson plans should be neat and orderly. They should reflect the activities, objectives, concepts, and page numbers where the lesson can be found. Lesson plans should be able to be easily followed by a substitute teacher. They should be completed for the upcoming five-day period by Friday afternoon (5 pm) and basic topics and key activities entered into the RenWeb. More detailed plans should be prepared and reviewed by Principal/Dept. Head to meet all objectives. In addition, all teachers must complete an Emergency Substitute Teacher Folder to be kept on file in the classroom. These are to be completed within the first two weeks after school begins. These plans should contain instructions and directions for the sub, not just blank worksheets to run off, including class teaching schedule, class rosters, etc.
