4.501 Employee Contract Terms and Provisions

    All employees of the school shall be employed under written contracts that define the terms and conditions of employment. Employment contracts reflect the school’s commitment to fairness, professionalism, and Christian integrity in all employment relationships.

    Contract Issuance
    • Employment contracts shall be issued annually (or as otherwise specified by position type) by the Executive Director or designated administrator.
    • Contracts will specify the employment term, position title, compensation, work schedule, and other pertinent conditions of employment.
    • Employees will be provided with ten days to review, sign, and return their contracts. Failure to return the signed contract within the specified period may be considered a decline in employment for the upcoming year.
    Contract Duration and Renewal
    • Contracts are valid only for the period stated and do not imply automatic renewal or continued employment beyond the contract term.
    • Renewal of employment is based on performance evaluations, staffing needs, and adherence to school standards of conduct and mission alignment.
    Terms and Conditions
     Each employment contract will include, as applicable:
    • Position description and reporting structure.
    • Start and end dates of employment.
    • Compensation, benefits, and pay schedule.
    • Work hours and school calendar obligations.
    • Terms regarding probationary periods, if applicable.
    • Conditions for resignation, termination, or non-renewal.
    • Acknowledgment of school policies, handbook provisions, and code of conduct.
    • Statement of faith and mission alignment expectations.
    Modifications and Amendments
    • Any modification or amendment to an employee’s contract must be made in writing and signed by both the employee and the authorized school representative.
    • Verbal agreements or informal understandings shall not alter the terms of the written contract.
     Termination of Contract
    • Contracts may be terminated by mutual agreement or in accordance with the terms stated in the agreement.
    • Grounds for termination may include, but are not limited to, violation of school policy, unsatisfactory performance, or moral or ethical misconduct inconsistent with the school’s mission.
    • Employees may resign in accordance with the notice requirements specified in their contract.
    Dispute Resolution
    • Any disputes arising from the interpretation or application of employment contracts will be handled through the school’s established grievance or mediation procedures.
    Recordkeeping
    • A signed copy of each employee’s contract shall be maintained in the employee’s official personnel file.
    • Contracts and related correspondence shall be treated as confidential employment records.
